We take our responsibility seriously. As a minimum, all our sites meet local legislative standards and each operation has implemented an energy management programme. We can also offer support to customers to measure the carbon footprint of their packaging.
We continue to reduce all process waste and maximise reuse and recycling. Paperboard products are specified from managed, replenishable forestry resources or from recycled fibre. For plastics, we seek to reduce material usage and offer lightweight alternatives wherever possible.
In addition, Chesapeake has completed a programme to certify all of its European sites to FSC© and PEFC Chain of Custody standards. These standards allow Chesapeake to offer its customers paper-based products that originate from certified well managed forests.
